Tree Planting at Hibernian at 11.00 a.m. on Sunday, 15th March 2015
We have been asked to plant 150 mixed trees in another site at Hibernian, so we really will be making a difference to the landscape around that area of the Island. The ground is a bit rougher, so please wear good boots or shoes. Everyone welcome.
We will be meeting at 11.00 a.m., and will have soup, coffee, tea and cakes for everyone afterwards. Please wear warm clothes and stout shoes or boots. If you could bring stout garden gloves it would be a help, and we will have plenty of spades available.
DIRECTIONS:
Take the A2 road from Ramsey towards Laxey. Just past the Hibernian, take the narrow road on the RIGHT signposted to the Gooseneck. Drive up the hill, past the Water Mill on the right and continue on up towards the Gooseneck for about half a mile until you see a cottage on your left. On the right-hand side of the road (opposite the cottage) is the entrance to a track, where we can park. There will be a four-wheel drive vehicle to take the trees, spades, canes and tubes up to the planting area.
