Tree planting at Ballasalla, 11.00 a.m. on Sunday, 11th January 2015
Happy New Year everyone. At our first planting this Spring, we have been asked to plant 150 trees as boundaries and small wooded areas round two new bungalows at Ballasalla, to create shelter and an attractive wildlife habitat with Spring blossom, berries and Autumn colour.
We will be meeting at 11.00 a.m., and will have hot soup, coffee, tea and cakes for everyone afterwards. Please wear warm clothes and stout shoes or boots. If you could bring strong gardening gloves it would be a great help, and we will have plenty of spades available.
DIRECTIONS:
Take the A5 road from Douglas towards Ballasalla. About quarter of a mile before Ballasalla you will see the driveway to Glashen Farm on your right. The two new bungalows (one cream-coloured, one green) are along the driveway, just off the main road. We can park in the driveways.
