Tree planting at Crosby at 11.00 a.m. on Sunday, 29th November 2015
We have been asked to plant trees to help in draining low land and augmenting established woodland which is being regenerated at Crosby. We will be planting a mixture of trees which will provide blossom, Autumn colour and berries, creating a wonderful habitat for wildlife. The site is flat and easy.
We will meet at 11.00 a.m. and guarantee to have coffee, tea and cakes for everyone afterwards. Please wear warm clothes and stout shoes or boots. If you could bring stout garden gloves it would be a help, and we will have plenty of spades available.
Directions for Sunday 29th November:
Travelling from Douglas on the A1 road through Union Mills towards Crosby, Cedar Lodge is on the LEFT of the road just before Crosby (opposite a castellated lodge). Parking is not possible at the property, as the main road is quite busy and narrow. Continue on the A1 to the crossroads at CROSBY and take the B36 road on the LEFT. We can park on the left at the rugby ground, and the walk back to the property is about 300 yards. Please walk through the house (we have permission) to the planting site at the rear.
